MNEME | Aegina, Greece
MNEME is a photographic project unfolding in Palaiochora, Aegina — a historic site where churches and architectural traces preserve the living memory of the place.
The project approaches heritage not as a static past, but as a dynamic process of memory that is activated and unfolds within the place itself.
The absence of the human figure shifts attention to architecture, surfaces, and the erosion of time, while light functions as a subtle, almost metaphysical presence, revealing the space beyond mere visibility.
Rooted in the ancient Greek concept of Mneme (Memory), the project articulates Greek history and culture through a concise and distilled artistic language, where light and materiality transform space into a lived experience of enduring memory — resilient to the passage of time
